This 13-day journey begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, where you'll explore its rich cultural heritage and prepare for the trek. A scenic drive takes you to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley. The trek unfolds with a mix of dense rhododendron forests, rushing rivers, and picturesque villages.

As you ascend, the landscape transitions to alpine meadows, with herds of yaks grazing under snow-capped peaks. The acclimatization day at Kyangjin Gompa allows you to visit ancient monasteries and hike to vantage points for incredible views.

The climb to Yala Peak Base Camp is a thrilling adventure, offering stunning Himalayan vistas. The summit day, though challenging, rewards you with breathtaking views of Shishapangma (8,013 m) and other towering peaks.

After the climb, the descent follows the same scenic trail, giving you time to absorb the beauty of Langtang Valley and its unique culture. The journey ends in Kathmandu with a day to explore the city or relax before your departure.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Yolo Hike will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring nearby streets, soaking in the vibrant culture of Kathmandu. In the evening, briefing about the trip.

    After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Syabrubesi, the gateway to Langtang Valley. The drive offers beautiful views of terraced hills, rivers, and rural villages. You’ll pass through Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche, experiencing glimpses of the countryside.

      Begin your trek along the Langtang River, passing through lush forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo. The trail gradually ascends through small settlements and waterfalls, with chances to spot wildlife like langurs and red pandas. Reach Lama Hotel, a peaceful stop surrounded by forest.

       

        Today’s trail continues uphill through dense forests and opens to magnificent views of Langtang Lirung (7227 m). Pass by Ghodatabela, a small settlement with grazing pastures, before reaching Langtang Village, a charming village rich in Tamang culture.

           

          Today, you will take a shorter trek to Kyangjin Gompa, the spiritual center of Langtang Valley. The trail passes through yak pastures and traditional Tamang villages, offering stunning views of Langtang Lirung and surrounding peaks. Upon arrival, you will explore the ancient monastery and the cheese factory.

           

            Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Take a short hike to Kyangjin Ri (4,773 m) or Tserko Ri (5,000 m) for panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, and Dorje Lakpa. Explore the monastery and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the valley.

              Today, trek towards Yala Peak Base Camp through rocky and rugged trails, gradually ascending into alpine terrain. Enjoy breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, and Ganesh Himal. The base camp is a serene spot perfect for preparing for the summit climb.

                An early start takes you on a challenging yet rewarding climb to the summit of Yala Peak (5,500 m). From the top, enjoy spectacular views of Shishapangma, Langtang Lirung, and the Tibetan plateau. After celebrating your success, descend carefully back to the base camp.

                Continue to Kyangjin Gompa, retracing your steps through the rocky trail and yak pastures. Take time to relax and reflect on your summit achievement while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the village.

                   

                  Follow the trail back through Langtang Village and Ghodatabela, descending into the lush forests. The walk is mostly downhill, offering a chance to enjoy the scenery and spot wildlife along the way before reaching Lama Hotel.

                     

                    On your final trekking day, descend further through rhododendron and oak forests, following the Langtang River. The trail passes charming villages and terraced farmlands before reaching Syabrubesi, where you can relax and celebrate the completion of the trek.

                       

                      After breakfast, take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the countryside views, passing rivers, hills, and rural villages along the way. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

                       

                         

                        This is a Reserved Day for unforeseen circumstances. If everything goes well, we can utilize this day to explore the cultural wonders of Kathmandu, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. We can also wander through Thamel’s vibrant streets for shopping and relaxation.

                          After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Nepal with unforgettable memories of your adventure in the Himalayas.
