Lhasa Kailash EBC Tour consists of all the major Tours on the Kailash side with the world’s highest mountain (Everest) Base Camp. The journey starts with Arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal where you will process your Visa and do some major sightseeing like Pashupatinath temple where you can perform ritual activities, Gueshwori Temple, Bouddhanath, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After Visa approval, we will proceed to Lhasa, explore the city, and proceed towards Shigatse, Tibet’s Largest city, and to Saga.

Itinerary

 

Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. A representative from Yolo Hike will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Take a rest at the hotel and in the afternoon, introduce the traditional Nepalese Dinner.

    Your collected documents will proceed with the Tibet Visa. Today, we will drive to Pashupatinath early in the morning to perform puja and Homa if you prefer. We will then drive a km to the east bank of Guheshwori Temple and continue to Bouddhanath a UNESCO world heritage site, wander around the Tibetan monument, and observe handicrafts. Buy one if you like as a memory.

       

      Tibet Visa processing takes two days, which gives us a chance to visit another major sightseeing in Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We will drive to Bhaktapur early in the morning after breakfast. It is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It covers a 6.52 square miles area and has numerous temples and monuments. This square consists of The Palace of 55 Windows, the Vatsala temple, the Nyathpola temple, the Golden Gate Temple, the mini Pashupatinath temple, and other wow monuments. After the delightful walk into the pedestrians of Bhaktapur Square, you can observe the local potters making pots using special clay. Bhaktapur is famous for its dairy product Juju Dhau (King’s curd).

        Today, we will get a Visa after 9 am, We will prepare today for the Tibet Mount Kailash EBC journey, you can shop for your essential equipment if you have not carried it from home. You can find a range of equipment from Normal to High-End Brands.

          Today, early in the morning we will drive to Tribhuwan International Airport and then we'll take a plane to Tibet. When you arrive in Lhasa (3,656m) Greetings from the Tibetan Plateau of Lhasa! Stroll around the Plateau in the evening.

             

            Begin your tour in Lhasa after breakfast in your accommodation. Visit Potala Palace in Lhasa. It is one of the world's marvels and is one of the world's heritage sites. Norbulinka is a typical palace that was established in 1755. Visit the Barkhor Squire, Lhasa's historic market.

              Drive to Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city. After finishing your tour in Palcho, hike up to the Dzong Fortress, where the Tibetan army fought against the British invasion in the early twentieth century. You can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Gyantse City from the summit of the fortification.

                 

                We'll leave early in the morning for Saga, Saga is the administrative center of Saga County in the Tibet Autonomous Region's Shigatse Prefecture. This old military settlement sits on each side of the Dargye Tsangpo River, just north of its confluence with the Yarlung Zangbo River, also renowned as the Brahmaputra, at an elevation of 4,640 meters above sea level. please know that this will be a long drive, but we'll have ample time to stop and eat along the route.

                  Today we will continue our journey towards Lake Mansarovar. During Journey, you can observe the views of the landscapes and surroundings along the path via Saga to Lake Manasarovar are among the most stunning of the trip, and they provide a nice break before the epic trek concludes. Two of the most notable features along this road are the Paryang Dunes and the grandeur of Kunggyu Lake.

                     

                    Today, we'll immerse ourselves in the colors of religion by visiting the sacred lake of Mansarovar. We'll perform a few rituals before heading to Darchen's village. We will be able to see the sacred Mt. Kailash along the journey. Darchen used to be known as Lhara. The town is located directly in front of Mt. Kailash, which is considered sacred.                       We'll drive to Tarboche, a little town. The Kailash Kora's beginning point is Tarboche. Tarboche is home to Yamadwar, the god of death's gateway. We'll travel a few hours from here to the settlement of Derapuk, which sits in front of Mt. Kailash's north face. Beautiful views of the Gurla-Mandala, Ape, Kamet, and other high peaks will be available today.

                         

                        Today is the longest and most challenging day of Kailash Kora's trip. We'll ascend Drolma La, the highest pass in the area, to arrive at Juthulpuk. We'll start by going to Jarok Donkhang, a tiny Tibetan settlement. Then we'll make our way to the Shiva-tsal. Before being reincarnated, people are thought to die a symbolic death in Shiva-tsal. They are claimed to be reincarnated once they reach the crest of the Drolma La Pass. We'll take a short break here before descending steeply to the banks of the Lham-chu Khir River. We'll follow the river to the Khando Sangam La, which is on the eastern slope of Mt. Kailash. We'll arrive in Juthulpuk's settlement. The area was called after the well-known Juthulpuk Cave, also known as the Miracle Cave. We'll be able to see the Buddha's footprints along the road.

                          Parikrama day 3: Trek and drive to Saga

                          Today is the last day of Parikrama, we’ll spend the morning exploring the caverns and temples surrounding the Milarepa cave. After breakfast, we'll climb for 3-4 hours to finish our Kora and return to Darchen village. We'll eat lunch there before returning to Saga village.

                            After breakfast Drive to Shegar. If the weather cooperates enough, you may see Mt. Everest in the distance on the journey down to Shegar. After 4 to 6 hours, you will arrive at the Rongbuk monastery crossing Pang La Pass (5050m), from which you will have a panoramic view of the world's five highest peaks.

                               

                              Early departure from Rongbuk for Everest Base Camp today. You can watch the sunrise from the peak of Mt. Everest and receive a full view of the magnificent Mt. Everest, which appears like a blizzard conditions pyramid. After hiking the base camp, return to Shigatse.

                                  Today we return to Kathmandu from a direct flight from Lhasa. If you will be on a window beautiful bird’s eye view of Tibet and Nepal will amaze you. A farewell dinner will be organized by Yolo Hike as a trip success.
