Kailash Overland Tour NRI

Overview

The Kailash overland tour for foreigners and NRI (Non-Residental Indian) is a two-day additional itinerary for the overland tour via Kerung, regarded as one of the most sacred pilgrimages for Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists, as well as one of Asia's most arduous spiritual adventure tour.

Kailash Mansarovar's overland tour follows the 15-day itinerary with visa processing if you make your arrival on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, as Visa processing takes two days for NRI and foreigners. Yolo Hike has an alternative if you are not sure you can arrive these days.

This 15-day expedition begins in Kathmandu with a bumpy and scenic drive to Kerung, which includes crossing the Nepalese border at Rasuwagadi. Tibet's blacktop roads to Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash provide spectacular views of snowcapped mountains and vast Tibetan plains, which take you on a pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash to pray and stroll around the sacred region.

A Kailash overland tour for NRI and foreign passport holders provides easier access from the Kerung border as an alternate route to Mount Kailash, making Mt. Kailash widely accessible from Nepal's boundaries. A sightseeing excursion in Nepal's capital city kicks off the Kailash Overland Tour. The customized holy mount Kailash trip will take us to UNESCO world heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley. After crossing the Nepal-Tibet border, we visit the Langtang National Park before arriving at Kerung, where you will cross Nepal- Tibet Border where Tibet gives you a warm hug. You will drive to the saga and explore till you reach Mansarovar which is greenish-blue in color and is located at an altitude of 4558 meters, where you will see the first Glimpse of Holy Mount Kailash. The lake is said to have formerly been Lord Bishnu's resting place. Perform a Kailash Kora starting from Dirapuk, Zuthulpuk, and reach Saga. Drive back to Kerung and return to Kathmandu through Syaprubeshi.

The lake is particularly lovely in the morning, and the glimpse of Mount Kailash adds to the pleasure. The lake's water will undoubtedly be very cold, but the worshippers always seem to be full of spiritual practice and devotion, and they do not want to miss this holy bath.

It is important to note that a recent change in Tibetan government law has made dip bathing in the lake illegal and classified it as a criminal offense. So please refrain from entering the lake.
