Booking with Himal Reisen
At Himal Reisen, we offer a diverse range of travel destinations, each with its unique climate conditions, natural wonders, rich cultural heritage, and more. To secure your reservation, we kindly request a non-refundable payment of 10% of the total trip cost during the booking process. For trips to Tibet and Bhutan, full payment is required, along with a copy of your passport.
This will facilitate the reservation of accommodations, trekking permits, and domestic transportation. The remaining balance can be settled upon your arrival in Nepal, prior to the trip departure. For more information on payment methods, please visit our payment methods section on our website.
Please be aware that once the journey has officially commenced, "No Refunds" will be provided for clients who voluntarily choose to drop out of the trip, irrespective of any internal or external reasons. Additionally, no refunds will be granted for any unused services, such as hotel stays, transportation, sightseeing, or meals.
Last-Minute Bookings
For those seeking to make a last-minute reservation, we offer this service for any tour in Nepal. However, please note that last-minute bookings must be made at least one day prior to the trip's departure date, and the entire trip cost must be paid immediately. Kindly be aware that last-minute bookings do not qualify for any discounts, as we must make swift arrangements in a short amount of time.
Date and Price
While booking through our website, please review the Date and Price section of your chosen package carefully. It is essential to agree to the specified date and price, as we will not be held responsible if you are unable to attend the trek on the booked date. The package cost represents the total price for your chosen trip and involves all inclusions and limitations. Please be informed that ground costs, flights, and currency exchange rates significantly contribute to the package pricing. Therefore, we reserve the right to adjust tour rates up to and including the departure date without prior notification.
Such adjustments may arise due to currency fluctuations, fuel price increases, airport fees, seasonal pricing changes, and other factors. While we make every effort to avoid price increases, there are instances where they might be unavoidable.
Cancellation Policy
In the event that you need to cancel your booked trip with Himal Reisen, you must do so in writing and obtain an acknowledgment from the company. The cancellation charge will be determined based on the date the cancellation request is received by Yolo Hike. If you have paid in full for the trip, you are entitled to a refund in case of cancellation. However, the refund amount will be subject to the following cancellation charges:
- Excursions canceled 30 days (1 month) prior to the trip's departure date will receive a 90% refund.
- Cancellation of the trip 15 – 29 days (3 – 4 weeks) prior to the trip's departure date will provide a 60% refund.
- Cancellation of the trip between 07 and 14 days (2 weeks) before the travel date will provide a 25% refund.
- Cancellation of the trip seven days or less (less than a week) prior to the departure date will provide a 10% refund.
Please be aware that accidental payments made to our bank account or erroneous trip bookings will only be refunded to the same bank account from which the money was received. We cannot transfer the refund to any other account as requested.
Trip Postponement
If you need to postpone your trip to Nepal due to personal reasons, please notify us by sending a written notice and selecting a new departure date. We will happily move all your reservations to the new date without charging any additional fees unless the event is subject to specific changes for the new date.
Visa and Passport
To travel with us, passengers must possess passports valid for at least six months beyond their return date. Obtaining a Nepalese visa can be done upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport or through a Nepalese embassy or consulate in your country.
However, obtaining a visa is solely the responsibility of the traveler. Kindly note that residents of Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, and Palestine cannot obtain a visa at the Nepalese entry point.
Travel Insurance
All clients participating in our activities must have valid travel insurance that covers personal injury, death, hospital expenses, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue, and any other medical emergencies. We strongly advise you to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance package from a reputable company in your state, city, or country.
Risk and Responsibility

However, we must clarify that we are not liable for changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.
Such circumstances may include government restrictions, soil erosion, floods, avalanches, roadblocks, strikes, weather problems, mechanical issues, illnesses, and other factors. Moreover, we cannot be held responsible for any loss of possessions, injuries, or fatalities resulting from these unavoidable natural occurrences.
COVID-19 Privacy Policy
