Overview

Damodar Kunda and Muktinath tour is a religious as well as adventure trek for both Hindu and Buddhist religions. 14 days Damodar Kunda and Muktinath trek starts from Jomsom and ends at Jomsom. From Kathmandu to Jomsom we prefer by flight or you can take a jeep as per your interest of travel mode. Damodar Kunda is around 70 Km far from the Muktinath temple and it is near Tibet and Nepal border. Damodar Kunda lies in a restricted area of Nepal called Upper Mustang and you need a special permit for this trip cost USD 500 per person.

Damodar Kunda and Muktinath Trek is great for those who wish to visit both Kunda and the temple in one single trip. It is adventurous and you need to stay at a camp total of three days for this trip. Damodar Kunda

  • Damodar Kunda Lies at 4890 meters famous for the Hindu Religion
  • According to Barah Puran, Lord Krishna said that those who take a dip bath in the Damodar Kunda they will be freed from all the sins in their life.
  • It is believed that the two sons of Kubera took bath after they suffered from sins they are freed from their sins after taking bath at Kunda.
  • Saligram Shila is only found at Kalagandagi River whose main source is Damodar Kunda.
