Description

Phulkharka village is located about 135 km northwest of Kathmandu in the Dhading district. Phulkharka means Flower Garden. The village lies on the flank of a 3,500 m high mountain at the foothill of the Ganesh HimalManaslu Range. The villagers have a mixed practice of Hinduism, Christianity and Buddhism, also Shamanism still exists here. The twin waterfalls Ganga Jamuna is one of the hidden treasures of this place it represents the different views of religion.

Itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Aankhu Khola Dam (479 m)

We will visit AankhuKhola Dam and its surrounding village and lake. We will stay overnight in a guest house.

 

Day 02: Hike From Aankhu Khola Dam to Phulkharka (1225 m )

While trekking uphill you pass through villages, hills and terraces. Phulkharka is an excellent view point from where you can enjoy theview of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, ShringiHimal, ManasluHimal and many other mountains and peaks. We will stay overnight in a home stay.

 

Day 03: Hike from Phulkharka to Ganga Jamuna (3244m)

This day you start to trek gradually and ascent path all the way to Ganga Jamuna. On the way you will pass a beautiful forest, ridges, farming terraces and picturesque villages. The main attractions include interaction with ethnic groups such as Gurung, Brahmin and Chhetri. Ganga Jamuna is a Hindu pilgrimage site where a famous fair is held around the temple three days before the full moon in the first week of November. The panoramic views of Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, ShringiHimal, Manaslu range, LamjungHimal, Himalchuli, Annapurna range and many other unnamed mountains and peaks completely mesmerize you. We will stay overnight in a home Stay.

Day 04: Back To Kathmandu

Drive To DhadhingBesi and back to Kathmandu.
