Day 1 Fly to Paro and drive to Thimpu (65 Kms./2 hrs.)
Drive to Thimpu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 Full day sightseeing in Thimpu
Am-visit the memorial Chortern of the Late King JigmeDorjeWangchuk in the heart of Thimpu. The Tashichhodzong, The “Fortress of the Auspicious Religion.” PM- Stroll downtown to the Handicraft Development Corporation which displays a variety of Bhutanese handicrafts. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 Thimpu- Paro (65 Kms./ 2 hrs.)
AM- After breakfast drive leisurely to Paro. PM- Drive through the Paro Valley to see the DrukgyelDzong/ KyichuLhakhang. On a clear day one can see the white domed majestic Jhomolhari Mountain (The Mountain of the Goddess) (7314 m.) Also visit the National Museum located in the Ta Dzong Which displays a rich collection of fine arts and weapons. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Paro: Excursion to TaktsangLhakang.
AM- After breakfast drive to SartshamChorten and then two hours of horse riding to the Taktsang cafeteria. After refreshment, a short trek to
view the famous TaktsangLhakhang (the “tigers nest”). PM- After lunch a slow downhil trek to SartshamChorten, then drive to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 Drive to airport for your flight or overland trip out of Bhutan
